
REFLECTION
This portfolio was begun at the beginning of the semester as a way to showcase the work being done on the assignment throughout the course. I really enjoyed creating this space to show the assignment and provide other useful links or information to go along with the topic. I wanted this space to be a way for future employers, scholarship committees, or just anyone else who wants to learn more about me and the topic of my assignment.
By beginning from the HOME page, and going across the menu to the ABOUT, RESOURCES, and PROGRESS pages will provide the clearest idea of the topic. I had designed the portfolio this way to first introduce the background of the topic, then show where the information was found, and how I applied it to the portfolio and the assignment. In the PROGRESS tab, there are breakdowns of both assignment 1 and 2. In both, the pieces I chose show the progress done on the paper itself and my own progress as a writer.
I hope to show through this portfolio how much I have learned throughout this semester while researching my topic, writing the paper, and going through this course. There were several Student Learning Outcomes that were introduced throughout the course and applied to the work done. These SLOs helped to transform the information found in the research and thoughts into writing. At the beginning of the course, I simply wanted to becoem a better writer. I feel that this course has done more than that by forming how I write, being more consistent, and interpreting information into what I actually I need.
I also believed that this course was going to be a very big workload and that I would be overloaded, however, the work was spread out throughout the semester. The portfolio was begun at the beginning and worked on throughout the course, while the assignments were divided up and each part was due at a different part in the same week then compiled together which made the entire process much easier to handle.
